The June BC All Ages Meet for SI South Division teams has been rescheduled from it’s original date of 12-13 June to 1 week earlier – 5-6 June.  The meet will still be hosted by CNSA and take place at the Brian Bent Memorial Aquatics Complex in Coronado.

Fallbrook Associated Swim Team has announced the estimated timeline for this weekend’s upcoming 14 & Under ABC meet at Fallbrook HS.

• Saturday: Start 9:00am, Finish 12:30pm plus any relays
• Sunday: Start 9:00 am, Finish 1:00pm plus any relays

Warm-up Assignments for both Saturday and Sunday are as follows:

• 7:00: FAST
• 7:15 – 8:00: NCA, ICAC, MEYR, OSC, TVA
• 8:00 – 8:45: PS, SBA, HSA, MVY, PENY, CAST

Bids from SI member clubs to host 2010-2011 short course season meets are now being solicited. The 2010-2011 season bid package, containing a list of all prospective meets and meet formats, is available along with the bid application form. Bid applications must be submitted to the SI Swim Office along with proof of water statements, and are due no later than 2:30pm on Monday, May 3, 2010. Bids will be reviewed and meets awarded at a special meeting of the Program Committee on May 3rd at 8:00pm.

Congratulations to San Diego-Imperial Swimming’s newest member club, which was approved during Board action earlier this week – Chula Vista Aquatics Club (CVAC), coached by Armando Ramos and practicing at the Parkway pool in Chula Vista. More information is available at the team website.

As a result of a pool scheduling conflict, CNSA is no longer able to host the June 12-13 BC All Ages Meet (South).  The Program Committee is making this meet available for bid by any SI Swimming South Division team.  Any team with an interest in hosting this meet should contact the SI Swimming Office (Judy Ortwein, 619-275-1292) or the SI Technical Chair (Dean Bailey, 619-850-2927) no later than 23 March to discuss arrangements.  If there are no interested hosts by 24 March, the meet may be moved to an alternate date/location.

The American Swimming Coaches Association will be holding their Western Age Group Clinic at the Town & Country Hotel in San Diego April 16-18, 2010.  The 2 1/2 day program features the Level 2 Stroke School and the Level 3 Physiology School, in addition to a variety of current topics and issues confronting the aspiring swimming coach.  For more information, download the ASCA Clinic Information Sheet.

The results of the PS-hosted AB All Ages Meet held 13-14 March 2010 at the Poway Community Swim Center have been posted.

Note:  There were some post-race processing errors with events 73 and 75 (Girls 400M Free) which affected the official time and placing for 4 swimmers.  These errors have been corrected and the results on this website and SWIMS are correct.

• Sunday: Start 9:00 am, Finish 1:30pm plus any relays.  Relays begin approximately 1:30pm with 1650 heats after the relays.
