2010 Women in Coaching Retreat

Now in its fourth year, the Women in Coaching Retreat provides female coaches with an opportunity to grow personally and professionally.  Women in Coaching is a two-and-a-half day retreat in Black Forest, Colorado from April 9-11 and is designed for amazing women to convene, connect, brainstorm with others and grow their network.  For more information, review the brochure.

SD Coaches Association Sponsors JO Team Gift Baskets and Silent Auction

Hi Everyone! In order for the San Diego Coaches Association to continue to purchase items for the All Star meet, Zones, novice events, swimmers awards we need to raise some $$$. One of our most successful fundraisers is the Gift Basket Silent Auction that takes place during short course JO’s. Each team is highly encouraged to donate a gift basket, or baskets worth roughly the number of your swimmers X $1.00.

You can approach this in many ways. You can decide a theme and have parents donate items towards your basket, you can solicit donations from the public or from your team for the basket or you can charge a nominal fee along with your JO entry fees to pay for the basket. You can also be creative and think of another way!!! The sky’s the limit.

If your team is not going to participate with an actual basket or presentation, the SDCA would appreciate a check from your team as a donation.

• Toys
• Swim “stuff”
• Day at the Movies
• Beach Theme
• Gift card tree
• Garden Theme
• Etc.

Please e-mail me, Sue Parnes at allswim@aol.com to let me know the theme from your club or the huge amount you would be willing to donate!!! ☺ Our coach’s organization depends on this fundraiser. We have made over $1,000.00 in the past. Let’s get creative and see what we can do. We are in it for the kids!!! Please bring in all baskets on Saturday am of JO’s. Please have a short description for me and a net worth. They will be displayed and bid on through Sun prelims. The winners will be announced by finals on Sunday.
