2025 WOMEN COACHES IN GOVERNANCE

The Women in Governance program is geared towards identifying, educating, supporting and mentoring female coaches who wish to be more involved in organizational governance.

Mission statement: Uniting and Empowering Women Swim Coaches

The program includes a 8-week course and fellowship. Local Swimming Committees must nominate a swim coach for this program. Nominations will open Monday, April 28, 2025 and will close on Friday, May 23, 2025.

General Information

Program Overview: This program will include a 8-week educational course and fellowship conducted virtually through Zoom.

8-Week Course: The courses will be held on Tuesdays, 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. ET from September 2, 2025 - October 24, 2025.

September 2025 will include an in-person opportunity. More details to be announced soon.

Who is invited?

Preferred nominee criteria include: 

• USA Swimming women coach member in good standing, with minimum five years coaching experience.
• Less than one year of governance experience and interest in getting involved.

This is a free program for attendees!

LSC's are asked to incur the travel and lodging expense for those attending the in-person portion of this event.
